Hi my name is Sue, I have been doing stained glass since the early 1980's. I reluctanly joined a friend who wanted to try and make a business out of selling the stained glass. There was a class in my hometown, so we signed up, and I loved it. I had to have everything and lots of glass too. Several years later I moved and of course I brought all my stained glass equipment with me and even had an opportunity to open a stained glass shop. I taught lessons, sold glass and equipment and did repairs, it was going great, business was actually taking off. However, with the arrival of my new bundle of joy, I had to make a decision which I have never regretted. I had to close my shop, also, I decided it was not healthy for him to be exposed to the chemicals involved in making stained glass objects, which of course also influenced my decision. This is when I decided I had to do something and that is when I plunged into creating dichroic glass jewelry and kiln fired objects. It has been 15 years since i started experimenting with hot glass and I love it.
